DESCRIPTION: Austria, 3-train full grand sonnerie striking shelf clock with central calendar in ebonized veneer case with cast and chased ormolu trim & alabaster columns,, c,1835
CONDITION: the movement in this item is larger than you would expect and with large winding arbors and springs. We imagine that it may run a bit longer than the standard 56 hours designed into most spring clocks of this era. In addition the gong standard and gongs are the large size for a wall clock. Silk thread suspension and with original lions head embossed pendulum. Porcelain chapter ring is good, minor chip near F/S adjust, and central calendar ring is very good also. Retains original wooden rear dust cover. Top left return with loss as it meets the wall. Ht 18 1/2"
